Kilee lost here earrings and when I checked my pocket my phone was GONE:( But on our way out I saw something real shinny in the grass and guess what it was my phone:) I was so glad it didnt land in the lake:)
That was the biggest lolly pop I have ever seen:) It was the size of my head
Kilee found these fun lolly pop lips:)

And it just keeps coming............

Well Joseph got in a wreck tonight coming home from work. Since he was there I will let him tell the story:) Well, everyone knows I'm a very cautions and safe driver =) so the good news is this accident is not my fault. (Uh, literally)

I was approaching a major intersection in some light rain, the lane to turn left was about 100 yards, and their was a solid white line the whole way back. Well, a 15 year old that had his learners permit, has yet to figure out what mirrors are for, how to look over your shoulder, to signal for 3 seconds before swithcing lanes, and has yet to know what a solid white line means. Most of all has not figured out the number one rule of the road. DONT TRY AND OCCUPY THE SAME SPACE AS ANOTHER CAR AT THE SAME TIME.
Needless to say, his learners permit has been pulled for a bit, back to the range, cones, and 3 mph. It was his 28 year old boyfriends car.

Mall

Kilee, Nicki and I went to the mall today. It was nice to get out and do something:)
I bought some jeans for Joseph and the store gave me FREE speakers:)

I always LOVE free stuff:)
We went into Buckle and I found this WAY cute pair of shoes. I wanted them sooooooooooooo bad but they were expensive just like everything else in the store:)
But dont worry I walked around the store in them until we had to leave. I loved them so much:)
I saw this cute necklace at a store we stopped at. I have always wanted a locket where I could put a picture of Joseph and I in it then give it to my daughter one day, you know like they do in movies:):) I didnt end up getting it but I will someday:)

Kirtland, Ohio

On Sunday Joseph and I and a couple other guys drove to Kirtland to see all the church history. I Loved it there. I learned so much stuff about the people in Kirtland that I did not know.

Here is the store that N.K. Whitney owned. I guess he was very prosperous. He was very wealthy back in those times.
He knew a lot of people and so he was able to trade with people out of the United States. He also traded with the Indians. He was known for his store and his fair prices:)
Whitney was the 2nd bishop called in Kirtland and he is the one that came up with the Bishops store house. (see above)
Whitney let Emma and Joseph stay in the upstairs of the store. Here is where the Word of Wisdom took place.
In this little room 25 men would meet for the church. After the Word of Wisdom was announced, Joseph said that if they followed this commandment they would have a witness to know it was true. A couple weeks of months later The Lord and Christ appeared to the men in this room.
This is the Whitney home. The missionaries said that you could tell back then that the Whitney's had money because the color yellow was very expensive and had to be imported to the states.
This is the room where the Whitneys were told to prepare, for the Word was coming. A couple weeks later the missionaries from New York came!!
This was the nicest room in the house. This is were they held the first couple of sacrament meetings when the church was getting started.
The group
This is the mill that Whitney had invented. You would put ashes in these holders, then water would be pourn over the ashes and filter through to the barrels. This would make alkaline water.
Next they would take the alkaline water and but it in these ht bowls for 14 hours and it would make hard rock like substance.
Then it would be placed in ovens like these and they would turn white. After that they were used for gun powder and stuff like that. Whitney could sell a couple of those rocks for $200. He was a very smart and creative man.
Then he created this wheel for energy. It would pull water underneath the wheel and generate........
This saw to cut wood:) This saw was use to build the temple. In the 3 to 4 years it took to build the temple not one person was killed in the mill or cutting wood. Usually they had many deaths in the mill alone from explosions.
It was really cool to see the Temple they built but it was weird to learn that the Community of Christ now owns the temple.
It was still cool to see how much work and effort went into this Temple.
*The spirit is so strong at all of these church sites. I am so blessed I have had the opportunity to see so many of them.*
